Despite the apparent naughty and daring, active child has advantages over the non-active.

Scientists have proven that physical activity can make you smarter. But not only that, by using the scan, the team in the United States (U.S.) shows that there is an important part of the brain actually develops in the active child. These children tend to be smarter and have better memories than those who were not active.

The scientists also discovered that one of the most important part of their brain to be 12 percent greater than children who are inactive, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

Researchers from the University of Illinois in the U.S., studying the brains of 49 children aged nine and ten using MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan, a technique that provides highly detailed images of organs and net in the body.

They also test the fitness of the children by asking them to run on a treadmill. The researchers found  that hippocampus, section responsible for memory and learning, developing greater about 12 percent in children more active. They also found that these children perform better memory test.

Professor Art Kramer, who led the research, publish findings in the journal Brain Research. He says this discovery has important influence to encourage people to exercise  their children at an early age.

“We know that experience and environmental factors, and socio economic status affect brain development. If you have some bad genes from a parent, you can not really fix it. And as we all know, not easy to change the economic status for granted, “said Professor Kramer.

“This is the first study I know of using MRI to see the difference in the brains of healthy children and children who are not healthy.”

From these results, clearly revealed that excessive concerns do not allow children to perform various physical activities was a mistake. It is unfortunate that now there are many parents who want their children sitting at home and forbade him to try the various activities that make an active move and sweat.
